Each child has the right to be treated with love, respect and dignity. Studies uncover that for children with or without disabilities, partaking in art making activities give them colossal sense of accomplishment, self-respect and boost their self-confidence. The purpose of the competition is to expose the children with special needs and to identify their interpretation to art and culture – which would be a new learning experience for them. On a wider note, the competition aims to inspire children with special needs to include art education and culture in their curriculum.
